Bromsgrove traders to give away prizes for 12 days leading up to Christmas

A VARIETY of prizes will be up for grabs in the days leading up to Christmas as Bromsgrove traders launch a high street giveaway.

The Better Bromsgrove 12 Days campaign, which will kick off on Small Business Saturday (tomorrow), will see business owners offer a prize every other day until Christmas Eve.

For a chance of winning, residents should look out for tweets from the council with #BetterBromsgrove12, like and retweet them with the same hashtag.

The winner will be announced the following day.

As part of the campaign, and to mark Small Business Saturday, Secretary of State and Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid will visit the town High Street today.

He is meeting town entrepreneur Lorita Cornish, of Decanter Spirit and Butcher’s Block, who is putting up Day One’s prize – a hamper of drinks.

Lorita first did business in the High Street nearly three years ago when she opened Lorita’s Bakehouse.

Bromsgrove District Council’s Centres Manager Cheryl Welsh said: “I am absolutely blown away by the generosity of the traders from all across the District who have got behind this campaign.

“We have seen new businesses opening in Bromsgrove in the last year and I looking forward to welcoming even more in 2018!”
