Bromsgrove Tennis Club serving up funds for NHS with lockdown charity raffle

Bromsgrove Editorial 7th May, 2020   0

TENNIS fans are being served up a great chance to win prizes and raise funds for the NHS locally at the same time.

Bromsgrove Tennis Club has organised a raffle offering one-to-one and group tennis coaching, individual personal training sessions, yoga and bespoke nutritional advice.

There is also a one-to-one glass-blowing session up for grabs and all proceeds will be donated to the Covid-19 Emergency Appeal run by Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

The funds will support patients across the county, including at the Alexandra and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals.

Head coach James Griffiths said: “We’re not sure how long lockdown will last, so we felt that it’s important to focus on mental and physical wellbeing and give people something to look forward to once things return to normal and raise funds for such a worthwhile cause at the same time.”

Nicky Langford, Community Fundraising Officer at the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity said “The charity has been overwhelmed by the incredible support from the community.

“The impact of proceeds from the raffle will allow us to fund those simple things that are making a huge difference to staff morale and wellbeing, as well as towards supporting our Covid patients with their recovery.”

Any other businesses which can donate prizes can email James at [email protected].

Visit goldengiving.com/raffle/bromsgrovetennisclubcovid19 to buy tickets which are £5 and the raffle closes at 11.45pm on June 1.

Prizes can be redeemed as soon as Government restrictions are lifted.
