A BROMSGROVE teenager has landed a modelling contract after competing in the Miss Birmingham 2018 competition.

Iesha Price, currently studying for her GCSEs at South Bromsgrove High School, took home the title of ‘Miss Birmingham Top Model’ on Saturday night.

After scoring well and being shortlisted in most categories, the 16-year-old secured a modelling contract with ‘MeSheMe’.

“It was the first competition I’ve taken part in so I didnt know what to expect but it was a lot of fun.

“My mum applied for it without me knowing and I was sceptical at first but I really enjoyed it.

“I have made lots of new friends and the girls are all so nice.

“I’m quite nervous but also very excited to do my first modelling shoot.”

Before the competition Iesha raised funds for New Hope charity in Worcester, a cause close to her heart.

“My brother is 14 and has autism so I decided to raise funds for New Hope because of the amazing work it does.

“The charity doesn’t get much funding and the money will go towards trips out to such places as Alton Towers or a football match.”

Iesha said she hopes to take part in more pageants in the future but is currently concentrating on her studies.
