YOUNG footballers from Bromsgrove Sporting Colts can now turn out in their new-look kit thanks to sponsorship from a car dealership, writes Shivani Chudhari.

Bristol Street Motors Ford Kings Norton has kitted out the Under 11s, who play in the Central Warwickshire Youth Football League, with a new home strip.

Bromsgrove Sporting Colts, previously known as Santiago Colts, merged with Bromsgrove Sporting FC in June 2018 to form the joint youth branch.

The organisation has been formed from 22 teams with mixed abilities and play by Bromsgrove Sporting FC’s ethos of ‘fun before results.’

Sporting Colts manager Mark Whitehouse said: “We really appreciate all the support we receive from local businesses such as Bristol Street Motors Ford Kings Norton.

“The sponsorship means a great deal to the club and the lads are really pleased with their new kits.”

David Howe, general manager at Bristol Street Motors Ford Kings Norton, said he was thrilled to be backing the team and wished the players the best of luck for the remainder of the season.

“As a dealership, it’s important for us to be involved with our community and supportive of local causes such as budding young football players.”
