A SEWING studio is celebrating its first anniversary in Bromsgrove.
The Brenda Killigrew Sewing Studio opened at 17 Worcester Road on March 2 last year and during the last 12 months has held community upcycle workshops, attended the Hanbury Hall winter fair, the Worcester Road Christmas Street Party and created a stunning patchwork garment collection for international brand Vlieseline.
Owner Brenda Killigrew, who has 30 years experience and a team of six operating at the Bromsgrove studio, said: “Although the year has had some exciting adventures for the team and the students, we still look forward to teaching every day, passing on knowledge and helping students develop skills is still very much the centre of what we do.
“We still get excited to see a new student sign up and achieve their goals of making a special garment or building a portfolio of skills and samples.”
