Bromsgrove School's Harriet embarks on sponsored cycle to save world's endangered species

Bromsgrove Editorial 22nd Jun, 2020   0

A TENACIOUS youngster from Bromsgrove School has been saddling up to help endangered species with a sponsored cycle.

Harriet N, who is in 3J, was heavily influenced by the theme of the week and thought about what she could do help.

She has adopted a tiger and has joined the ‘Our Amazing Planet’ scheme which gives her monthly packs with educational information with the funding going towards protecting the world’s wildlife, habitats and endangered species.

In return for donations Harriet is going to virtually cycle – on an indoor bike – through the countries the endangered species live in, including places in Africa, Asia, the Arctic and Antarctic.

She is also making lots of small bracelets from blue thread and ocean-themed charms to give people another opportunity to contribute funds.

Harriet also has some wonderful ideas others could do to help such as making bee houses or bird feeders.
