BROMSGROVE School will be hosting two ‘inspiring’ concerts this summer to honour the art of brass music, writes Lola Griffin.
The Tutor Concert, at 7pm on July 3, will be led by Artistic Director Philip Harper and will spotlight the talents of the Elgar International Brass Band Summer School (EIBBSS) teaching faculty.
Composed of world-class soloists from acclaimed ensembles and brass bands, tutors will perform solo and ensemble pieces, highlighting their instrumental skill.
Delegates are encouraged to invite friends, family, and local brass supporters to experience inspiring performances and celebrate the talent of the tutor cohort.
The Grand Final Concert will take place at 7pm on August 1 (doors open at 6.30pm), offering a formal presentation with repertoire prepared during the week, including two brand new commissioned works.
This public event is a celebratory finale to a cathartic week of training and companionship.
Both concerts will be open to the public at the Routh Hall, tickets being available at £5 through the Bromsgrove School events portal or ticketing link.
Although booking is advised, visitors are also able to attend both events by paying at the door. Visit www.bromsgrove-school.co.uk/boxoffice for more information.
