Bromsgrove, Rubery and south Birmingham parents reminded 2021 school admission applications close this week

TIME is running out for parents of all children starting school next year to submit their applications.

The deadline to apply for a place at a Worcestershire primary, first, infant, junior and middle school is this week – and Birmingham City Council infant and junior schools is January 15.

For children born between September 1, 2016 and August 31, 2017 parents must apply for a school place starting in September 2021 before the deadline or they may not receive an offer for one of their preferred schools.

Applying online is the easiest and most efficient way to apply by visiting the council’s dedicated school admissions page.

Coun Marcus Hart, from Worcestershire County Council, said: “We aim to make the big step of starting school a smooth process.

“We are pleased that with admission for September 2020 every child that applied had a place offered to them, with 9 in every 10 child getting their first choice preference.

“However, it is especially important that the deadlines for application are met to avoid missing out on a place.”
