AN APPEAL has been launched for businesses and individuals to provide much-needed sponsorship for football kits and training equipment, following continued growth at a grassroots football club, writes Neil Gordon.
Bromsgrove Rovers AFC issued the appeal following a period of expansion and demands on its own resources after the number of teams it runs increased from 12 to 20.
Sponsorship received from the appeal will go towards buying match day kits, training clothes and waterproofs for players to wear – as well as cones, bibs and footballs for training sessions.
Rovers AFC’s chairman Bryn Davies said: “Following recent expansion within the club, a number of our teams are now in need of vital sponsorship to help fund purchasing of match day and training clothing, as well as equipment to maintain coaching sessions and run teams.”
Teams from under 7s through to an adult’s side represent the club with some 150 boys and girls receiving coaching or playing football for the grassroots outfit which was formed in 2021.
Bryn added: “A range of benefits will be made available for sponsors including club website and social media visibility and backlinks, local media coverage and publicity with the sponsors chosen team.”
