BROMSGROVE Rovers AFC have revealed that the club have formed an adults team ready to compete ahead of the 2022/23 season.
After months of planning, discussions and meetings, Chairman Bryn Davies and Secretary Mark Whitehouse unveiled the club’s management team which is made up of Spencer Machin and assistant Kristian Rock.
The pair arrive with much-needed experience and a wealth of talented to make up their squad whilst Whitehouse has been a key factor in helping the club form an adults team with his football background and passion.
Whilst it remains undecided as to which division Rovers will start the new campaign in the club have been accepted into the Birmingham League.
Davies said: “It’s a milestone for the club, the name and everyone who has given so much time and put in effort to make this so.
“We were contacted by Spencer and Kristian about an adults team and, after a brief meeting, knew they wanted exactly what we did and shared the same beliefs, values and visions we all have for Bromsgrove Rovers AFC.
“This is a special moment in the club’s football journey, we are fully aware that as a club we need to communicate with everybody around us at all times, whether across our website or social media to supporters, sponsors, volunteers and players of any age. No one is ever left in the dark.
“We have had some very interesting sponsors who have been generous in helping us achieve to get an adults team off the ground.#
“It gives all of our grassroots teams a focal point and something to strive for too. We are all extremely proud.”
Manager Machin added: “We are not strangers to non-league football, Kristian and myself are excited by the road ahead, have our own personal football goals and share the passion that Bryn and Mark have for this entire football club.”
