Bromsgrove Police clamping down on illegal and uninsured vehicles

BROMSGROVE Police are warning drivers to ensure their cars and vans are roadworthy and legal after taking more vehicles off the roads.

This one, pictured above, was found to have no tax or MoT since November.

Officers said: “When a car hasn’t been tested or taxed, it isn’t just a paperwork issue, it means the vehicle hasn’t been checked for basic safety and isn’t contributing to the upkeep of the roads it uses.

“That affects everyone who shares those roads.

“We share these updates because they matter.

“Removing unsafe or illegal vehicles isn’t about pointing fingers, it’s about keeping the community safe and making sure the roads are used responsibly.”

And they posted a picture of the car (below) was also seized – this time for having no insurance.

Officers said: “After reports of this vehicle being driven by a driver with no insurance, it didn’t take long before the car was found, and swiftly recovered.

“No insurance means no excuses – and definitely no driving home.

“We’ll keep removing these risks from the road, one set of keys at a time.

“Thank you to everyone who continues to support what we do.

“Every unsafe vehicle taken off the road is one less risk for the public, and that’s worth keeping people informed about.”
