WEST Mercia’s Road Policing unit were very busy over the weekend in Bromsgrove.
On Saturday, January 6 an Operational Patrol Unit conducted speed checks on Station Road and the A435 in Wythall. Over 20 tickets were issued for speeding, the worst being a motorist travelling 89mph in a 50mph limit.
A blue flatbed van was also stopped by the unit near Frankley.
Officers noticed the driver smelled of alcohol and breathalysed them. He was arrested for being over the legal alcohol limit and later charged to court after providing another positive sample in custody.
The police and courts have been contacted regarding the defendants court date.
