BROMSGROVE’S MP has raised thousands of pounds for a local hospice after completing his daring wing walk challenge.
The local MP was strapped to the top of a biplane as he took to the skies on Saturday (September 13) in aid of Primrose Hospice.
Flown by a skilled wing walking display pilot, Mr Thomas soared on the top of a Boeing Stearman biplane, encountering a thrilling series of flypasts, zoom climbs, steep dives, and banks.
He’s so far raised almost £3,000 for Primrose Hospice, and there’s still time for people to donate.
The MP said: “It was the most exhilarating experience being strapped to a plane and whizzing around the skies – all in aid of a good cause.
“I’m really proud to have raised thousands of pounds for Primrose Hospice, a great local cause that supports so many families across Bromsgrove.
“Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. There’s still time to donate and any donation will be greatly appreciated.”
Primrose Hospice and Family Support Centre provides care and advice to patients living with a life-limiting illness and support for families in the North East Worcestershire area.
As an independent charity, they rely on the support of individuals and businesses to help them to raise the £1.95 million needed each year for them to provide their services free to all who require them.
David Burrell, chief executive officer of Primrose Hospice, said: “We are incredibly grateful for Bradley Thomas’s fantastic support for Primrose Hospice.
“Taking on a wing walk is a challenge that very few people would consider tackling. His effort will help us continue to provide our services, and it really highlights Bradley’s commitment to this community.”
