THE LIBERAL Democrat candidate for Bromsgrove for the general election has officially launched his campaign as the countdown to polling day on July 4 begins.
Dr David Nicholl said he would be campaigning on a number of issues, including tackling the cost-of-living crisis, the NHS crisis, and the sewage scandal.
Locally, Dr Nicholl will be championing local residents’ views – from protection of the local greenbelt, fighting for a real solution to our chronic traffic issues in Bromsgrove and campaigning for better local access to healthcare.

Responding to Rishi Sunak calling a general election, Dr Nicholl said: “For years our area has been taken for granted by an out-of-touch Conservative Government that has failed to get the basics right and has lurched from crisis to crisis – now it’s time for a change.
“I live in the constituency, so I see the problems we face first hand.
“Local health services have been brought to their knees, people’s mortgages and rent have skyrocketed and water companies have been allowed to pump their filthy sewage into our rivers and beaches.
“All this by a Conservative government more interested in fighting between themselves than standing up for the country.
“Every vote for the Liberal Democrats is a vote for a fair deal.
“It’s a vote for a party that will stand up for our community and our health services.”
Dr Nicholl called for a hustings to be held, adding: “I will debate with the other candidates, any place, anytime, anywhere in Bromsgrove.”
