BROMSGROVE Leisure Centre has been selected as a finalist in the UK Active Awards.
The centre has been shortlisted in the ‘Regional Centre of the Year-Midlands category’, and will be considered for the ‘National Centre of the Year’ should it win.
The awards celebrate excellence and innovation in health, fitness and wellbeing in the UK.
Finalists are currently undergoing further assessments including a mystery shop and digital review, with the winner to be announced at a ceremony at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre on June 30.
Bromsgrove Leisure Centre’s contract manager Lloyd Barraclough said: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for the UK Active Awards.
“This truly reflects the hard work and dedication the team has put in over the past year, especially following such challenging times during the pandemic.
“To be selected as a finalist is an achievement in itself and we’d like to thank all of our members for their ongoing support.”
Bromsgrove District Councils portfolio-holder for Leisure, Coun Michael Thompson, added: “This Council is committed to providing amazing things for residents to do particularly around fitness and well-being.
