A EUROVISION Party organised by members of Bromsgrove Ladies’ Circle raised more than £380 for charity.
The event at The Ladybird Inn, Aston Fields, was held in aid of the Samaritans and saw the women put on their best Eurovision fancy dress to watch the UK’s Sam Ryder take second place to Ukraine.
From Bucks Fizz to Abba, Union Jacks to Tricolores, the members looked fantastic in their themed attire.
Chair Joanne Brown, who took over in April, said: “We are proud to have supported the Samaritans and pleased our event has raised so much money for a good cause.”
She added anyone who wanted to find out more about Bromsgrove Ladies Circle, fund-raising and making new friends along the way to find the group on Facebook where details of future events are posted.
Fiona Bull, National President for Ladies Circle, added: “This was a fantastic evening of fun and friendship arranged by the Circlers in Bromsgrove.
“The atmosphere in the room was out of this world as we watched the UK reaching the dizzy heights of second place.
“I was delighted that Bromsgrove Ladies Circle chose to use it to support my presidential charity, Samaritans.
“I know first-hand the impact this charity has and will always be grateful to the Samaritan who answered my call 26 years ago.
“Samaritans provides vital support to so many people across the UK whatever they are going through – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
