Bromsgrove groups can apply for grants to promote equality

Bromsgrove Editorial 10th Mar, 2023   0

BROMSGROVE voluntary, charitable and community groups can bid for up to £1,000 for their local projects as part of the district council’s equality small grants scheme.

The scheme makes funding available for activities that address community issues and support wider involvement and equality.

Groups will be able to apply for the grants until March 28, with the approval and shortlisting process taking place in May.

Funds will become available to successful organisations by June 1.

The scheme has a £10,000 budget with only one round of funding and will support projects or activities being delivered up until March 31, 2024.

Council leader Coun Karen May said: “It would be wonderful if we were able to give all of this funding out to the voluntary and community sector because they provide such valuable services to our residents.

“We want to support those small projects that can make a big difference, so are encouraging as many groups as possible to apply.”

Visit www.bromsgrove.gov.uk/grants for the application form and guidance or contact the council on [email protected] or 01527 881288 for more information.
