A BROMSGROVE watering hole has been crowned West Midlands’ pub of the year at a national awards show.
The Wildmoor Oak was bestowed the accolade at the National Pub and Bar Awards on Tuesday, June 24.
“When we found out we’d been nominated for the awards, we were really thrilled,” said Bex Wilkins, Co-owner of The Wildmoor Oak.
“We thought we might have a chance at winning best in county but to win the crown of best in region at The National Pub & Bar Awards is just fantastic.”
“It recognises the hard work of all of our team, our great suppliers and everything we’ve done together to help create a really special place indeed.”
“We’re over the moon to be bringing two trophies back to the pub and to be celebrating with everyone who helped make it happen,” Bex added.
Following a change-up to previous years, 94 County Winners were announced live at the awards in London, as well as highly commended venues for each area.
Regional winners were then announced for every region across the UK.
The 2025 event also introduced a brand-new accolade, which was voted for by hundreds of people from across the sector.
The Industry’s Choice Award, unveiled in a Top 10 format, went to The Devonshire in Soho, following an incredible couple of years for operators Oisín Rogers, Charlie Carroll and Ashley Palmer-Watts.
