Bromsgrove Flower Club hoping to bloom with more members

BROMSGROVE Flower Club is hoping to be blooming even more with some new members.

The group is holding its next meeting at All Saints Church between 2.15pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, February 20, where there will be a presentation by guest speaker Andrew Lloyd.

He will talk about ‘At the Turn of the Year’ and the competition will be themed on ‘Love is in the Air’.

On Valentine’s Day itself members of the club were at Bromsgrove’s Pensioners’ Fair highlighting what they did and enlisting new members.

Lesley Vanezis from Bromsgrove Flower Club, which has been going 62 years, said it was a great event for letting people know it was there.

“Very often it’s not just women who ask about the club – we get a lot of men asking for their wives and mums.”

The club currently has 55 members and meets on the third Thursday of each month.
