A FISH and chip shop in Catshill has put up 500 free meals for frontline NHS staff to say thank you to them for all they are doing during the Coronavirus pandemic.

GOLDS, in Golden Cross Lane, dropped off 50 meals to staff at Bromsgrove’s Princess of Wales Community Hospital on Wednesday and 50 to the Alexandra on Tuesday.

NHS staff can also collect it from the shop by messaging through GOLDS Facebook page to choose their meal and arrange a time.

There are 12 options available, each served with chips, including sausage, battered sausage, chicken nuggets, small fish, pies, battered halloumi, veggie burger and kebab meat, chicken or mixed.

Owner Gurj Puna said: “We wanted to give something back to our incredible frontline NHS workers who deserve a hot meal and a friendly smile after another heroic shift.”

NHS staff should visit facebook.com/goldscatshill for more information, to order and for the conditions.
