Bromsgrove fire crew rescue badger trapped in drain in Lickey End

A FIRE crew from Bromsgrove rescued a badger which had become trapped in a drain yesterday afternoon.

The firefighters were called to Littleheath Lane in Lickey End at 2.16pm and found the creature was stuck.

They used a crowbar to remove the cover and a rescue hook to pull the badger to safety.

The process took around 20 minutes.

The animal is now recovering after being handed over to the RSPCA.
