BROMSGROVE District Housing Trust (BDHT) is supporting the White Ribbon campaign against domestic abuse, writes Shnae Harrison.
Staff at BDHT will wear the symbolic white ribbons during the 16 days of action which run until December 11.
The trust has also set up a ‘pledge board’ in the depot which staff can sign to show their support against violence.
The White Ribbon Champaign was created in 2020 after the killing of Sarah Everard which raised higher concerns about women’s safety.
Graeme Anderson, the trust’s chief executive, said: “BDHT serves the local community, and as part of our work, unfortunately we see violence and abuse of all kinds.
“Sharing the message of the White Ribbon campaign with as many people as possible will help raise awareness and help make a change.
“BDHT takes a stand against all abuse, and White Ribbon Day is an opportunity to pledge our support.”
