Bromsgrove District Council's Tik Tokkers Paul and Kim's festive video to champion winter garden waste collections

BROMSGROVE District Council’s TikTokkers are back in a new festive video to promote the fact garden waste services are continuing throughout the winter.

Father and daughter Paul and Kim want to highlight for the first time the brown bin collections will continue right up until next year with just a fortnight’s break – December 21 and 28 – to give the hard-working crews time to spend Christmas and New Year with their families.

The extended service aims to make up for the missed collections due to the first lockdown earlier this year.

A Bromsgrove District Council spokesperson said: “Lots of our customers enjoy gardening year round so the extended service means they can enjoy some winter pruning, make the most of their gardens and get the full value of their garden waste service for the year.

“We will monitor how well used the service is during the extension, and if there’s enough demand will look at how this could be built into the service in future years, so please make the most of this whilst you can.”

Residents who do not already have a garden waste collection but are interested in signing up for one, can contact the Environmental Services Team on 01527 881188 to discuss this with an advisor.
