BROMSGROVE residents are being urged to show their pride for the national ‘Love Where You Live’ campaign.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the district council will have a market stall on the High Street where they will be giving away ‘pocket ashtrays’ to highlight what a mess discarded cigarette ends make and be showcasing the ‘Gum Drops’ chewing gum bins project.
Visitors will also be able to win a reusable water bottle too.
Coun Karen May, whose portfolio covers economic development, said: “It’s very easy for people to criticise the place where they live and complain about issues like litter and graffiti.
“But we all have a duty to look after our communities which begins with easy steps like not dropping litter in the first place.
“Let’s build a Better Bromsgrove together and take pride in our district for the benefit of everyone.”
The stall will be open from 9.30am to 4pm and people are being urged to drop by and find out how they can make Bromsgrove a better place to live
