Bromsgrove District Council calling for new traders at historic town centre market

Bromsgrove Editorial 27th May, 2023   0

NEW market traders are being encouraged to set up stalls at Bromsgrove’s historic outdoor market as part of the Love Your Local Market campaign.

Staff from Bromsgrove District Council will be decorating the market to launch the new campaign on Saturday (May 27), which aims to put local market trading front and centre in the town.

Bromsgrove District Council’s deputy leader, Coun Sue Baxter said: “M&S, Superdry, Poundland – they were all started on a humble market stall by entrepreneurs with an “idea.

“Even as society continues to evolve all around us and businesses and high streets move with the times, there’s nothing quite like getting your business in front of people in “the bustle of a town centre market.

“We’re looking forward to a busy year ahead for Bromsgrove Market which plays such an important part in creating a better town centre experience for everyone.

“Whether you want to start a stall or have ideas for a special one-off event market, you can always contact the team to discuss.”

Bromsgrove’s historic outdoor market was founded in 1200, with the Tuesday market coming later in 1317.

The market will be open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

It’s open from 9am to 4pm on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

The Love Your Local Market campaign is a fortnight celebration of local markets, organised by market membership organisation, Nabma.
