Bromsgrove Dear Zoo dates rescheduled after anonymous donor puts the show 'back on the road'

AN ANONYMOUS donor has come to the rescue of the ‘Dear Zoo live’ touring production which had its truck stolen two months ago halfway through its run, writes Liam Masters.

The hit children’s show team was targeted on April 27 and was due to perform in Bromsgrove on April 29 and 30.

Those shows had to be postponed but now, after the donation, the Dear Zoo truck is back on the road and will be heading to Artrix on September 22 and 23 for its rescheduled dates.

The producers of the show, Norwell LapleyProductions, are over the moon that the rearranged tour can go ahead.

Many families with young children were disappointed when the original show was cancelled.

With the future of the production uncertain, the combination of insurance and the generosity of an unknown person made it possible for the company to cover most of the financial losses incurred after the theft.

A new set is currently being built ready for the autumn.

Chris Davis of Norwell Lapley Productions, said he was delighted everything was able to go ahead.

“Support from the public in response to the incident has been quite overwhelming.”

Tickets bought for the original dates will be valid for the new performances at Artrix.

Anyone else wanting to buy tickets can visit artrix.co.uk or call 01527 577330.

Alternatively, visit dearzooandfriends.com where there is more information about the show.
