Bromsgrove crew help to rescue bull stuck in mud

Bromsgrove Editorial 17th Aug, 2022   0

CREWS from Bromsgrove and Malvern were called to Kings Norton on Monday to rescue a bull that had gotten stuck in water and mud.

They were called to Red Hill Road at 2.28pm and were joined by Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service’s animal rescue teams from Bromyard and Pershore Fire Stations.

Strops were put on the six-year-old bull’s body, who was sedated by a vet and helped out of the water with a telehandler.

The bull was then put into a safe position on the field and was left with the owner and vet while he recovered from the sedation.

A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said the animal is expected to make a full recovery.
