CONNECTING and protecting Bromsgrove by improving broadband and tackling cross-border crime is the local Conservative Party’s focus for May’s election.
The party will contest 31 seats on Bromsgrove’s District Council, hoping to retain control of the district.
Conservatives currently hold 18 seats in Bromsgrove, two more than is needed for a majority.
Among the candidates standing are Spencer Loades in Alvechurch South, Barry Thornton in Alvechurch Village and Kyle Daisley in Aston Fields.
Phillip Thomas, portfolio holder for planning stands in Avoncroft and Amritjot Nannar in Barnt Green and Hopwood.
Council leader, Karen May stands in Belbroughton and Romsley, joined by Simon Nock.
Mohammed Amin stands in Catshill North, Shirley Webb in Catshill South and Sam Johnson in Charford.

“We are investing tens of millions of pounds in your local services, and we’re doing all of this whilst keeping increases in your council tax bill as low as possible.
