BROMSGROVE Climate Action held an event as part of the town’s annual Christmas Market last Saturday.
The group were in the High Street for the final action in its Warm Homes campaign – a countrywide drive by Friends of the Earth.
The campaign calls on MP Sajid Javid and the government to address the issues of high energy bills, the need for renewable energy and the problem of poorly insulated homes.
A BCA spokesperson said it was a really fun day.
“The market was great, lovely atmosphere and really bustling.
“We had lots of good conversations with residents and finished off with a walk to Sajid Javid’s office carrying our brilliant quilt banner, made by our committee and a sewing group from St Peter’s and other local people.
“The quilt got lots of attention and admiration.”
The group also had a petition with around 250 signatures, supporting the Warm Homes campaign, which will be submitted to Mr Javid.
