MEMBERS of Bromsgrove Climate Action were supported by local residents when they planted trees on Perryfields Road.
The socially-distanced session on October 10 was made possible, thanks to Richard from Worcestershire Highways and Bromsgrove District Council.
Residents in the area were delighted with the project and many have adopted a tree to care for.
All species planted are native trees which will encourage wildlife as well as looking beautiful when they establish.
Judy Tipper from the group said: “We hope to do a lot more of this around Bromsgrove.
“If any readers know of a place near them that would look better for a few trees, please let us know on our Facebook page.”
She gave special thanks to Coun Luke Mallett, who has supported the group from the start and to Garry who ‘dug all the holes’ and Webbs Garden Centre which donated two crab apple trees to the project.
