BROMROVE’S Christmas Markets have been hailed a great success, bringing visitors into the town centre ahead of last Saturday’s big lights switch-on.
The event in the High Street last Friday and Saturday was organised by Friends of St John’s.
Jo Slade, from the Friends of St John’s, said: “An enormous thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s Christmas Markets a success.
“The atmosphere on Saturday was wonderful, and given recent worries and concerns which everyone has, it was brilliant to be able to offer our Bromsgrove community an entertaining event.”

She thanked everyone for the comments and shares on Facebook and people can still go on there to click through and provide feedback which will be used when planning next year’s Christmas Market.
Local businesses include Fruitfields Apple Juice and Honey, Dragonfly Gifts, St John’s Fund-raisers, Panache Gifts, Charming Creations, The Denim Upcycler, Chadsgrove’s Poppy Emporium, St Basil’s Crafters, Lucent Scents and others.
Chadsgrove College and The Friends of St John’s also had stalls.
The event was officially opened by Bromsgrove Town Crier Kevin Ward on Friday morning.
