A BROMSGROVE Choir is determined to serve up some Covid-safe Christmas spirit on Saturday with a virtual singalong.
Got 2 Sing will take to screens both in the district and further afield from 5pm on YouTube.
The ‘Great Big Christmas Got 2 Sing-Along’ sees local Got 2 Sing members will be joined by fellow members from across the country on-line to sing some all-time Christmas classics, from ‘O Holy Night’ to ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.’
Everyone is welcome to join in – be it from their armchair, bed, desk or workstation.
The choir’s aim is to bring the festive spirit through song into as many homes, hospitals, hospices and workplaces as it can on the evening!
Charlotte Crowe, Creative and Development Partner at Got 2 Sing Choir, said: “It has been an extremely difficult year for everyone so we came up with the idea of a ‘Great Big Christmas Got 2 Sing-Along’ to try and lift everyone’s spirit and spread a little joy!
“We also realised how much the pandemic had impacted on charities’ fund-raising efforts too and decided that we would also try and help one of the UK’s most worthy charities, Hospice UK, along the way.
“We can’t shake a tin for them so we are also trying to raise awareness of this wonderful charity via our premiere too.”
Anyone wishing to join in on Saturday simply needs a laptop, smartphone or smart TV which enables YouTube.
