A BROMSGROVE care home is hosting an event from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesday, March 3, to help people gain a better understanding of dementia.

Dementia care specialist Nori Graham will be at Chandler Court, Recreation Road, to give an insight in what it is like to live with dementia and provide practical advice on what the condition is and how memories are lost.

There will also be useful tips on how to overcome communication barriers and a question and answer session afterwards.

Dawn Covill, Chandler Court’s home manager, said: “We know it can be challenging to look after a friend or relative living with dementia.

“It’s natural to feel confused about the best way to help your loved one, so our event aims to offer professional knowledge and insight to those who need it – as well as providing a hub for shared experiences.

“We want people to know they’re not alone, and we’re here to offer support.”

To book a place at the event, email Shelley Hufton at [email protected] or call her on 01527 907849.
