A BROMSGROVE opticians has supported a local community group’s scheme to bring some Christmas cheer to children in hospital.
Specsavers on the High Street pledged to donate a gift to the Far and Wide Kindness community group’s appeal for every customer feedback survey received throughout October.
Far and Wide Kindness is a local CIC run by volunteers, dedicated to supporting people going through hard times and spreading kindness in the community.
Surveys are sent via email following every visit to the store. At the end of the month, the team donated more than 50 gifts that will be given to children and their families in the Worcestershire Royal Hospital throughout December.
Mark Gibson, store director at Specsavers Bromsgrove, said: “In the true spirit of Christmas, we wanted to spread some joy to the children and families in hospital over the festive season.
“This was a great opportunity to donate to a brilliant community initiative, while gathering feedback from customers to help improve our services too.
“Thanks to everyone who submitted a survey last month – we’re really grateful for your support.”
The store has also set up a collection box in store for anyone who would like to make donations of toys, gifts and toiletries. Donations can be made until Monday, November 25.
Due to hospital restrictions, all donations need to be new, tagged and sealed. Visit www.specsavers.com/stores/bromsgrove for more information.
