A DARING Bromsgrove woman has raised more than £2,400 for the Primrose Hospice by undertaking a WingWalk.

Alison Mills, as a breast cancer survivor and suffering the disease for a third time, wanted to do something to make a difference so opted to be strapped to the top of a bi-plane.

Alison had originally set herself a target of £1,000 for the cause but ended up reaching almost two-and-a-half times that.

She said: “I am sure we all know of someone who has been effected in some way by this disease or have lost someone close to us.

“Having recently seen the effects this has had on family and friends around me and is still having, it motivated me to focus on raising funds to help others.

“Once you have been faced with cancer, your awareness never goes away.”

As well as challenging herself and pushing her boundaries, she also wanted to show cancer that everyone is still out there fighting it.

“Let’s be courageous together

“I am a proud survivor and hope to be able to support more survivors just like me.

“This was not just a personal milestone, but a powerful statement of support for the incredible work undertaken by the Primrose Hospice.”
