SCOUTS from Bromsgrove and Droitwich certainly lived up to their ‘do their duty to the King’ ethos yesterday when they headed down to London to help coronation visitors find their way around the capital.

Marc Chorley from Droitwich and Joe Dodman from Bromsgrove were among more than 50 young people also represented the Scouts at a special screening of the coronation service at St Margaret’s Church in Westminster – the invite was to thank the Scouts for their work.

Phil Love, from the Bromsgrove and Droitwich Scouts who accompanied them on the trip, said: “We’re incredibly proud Scouts supported so many people visiting London during an historic day serving the nation and helping other people.

“Members from Scouts Bromsgrove were among those chosen to help offer support.

“It’s an amazing opportunity and a prime example of following our Scout Values.

“It was a true once in a lifetime opportunity and we are so proud of them all.”
