Bromsgrove Aldi's Easter raffle to raise funds for life-saving defibrillator

STAFF from Bromsgrove’s Aldi are raising funds to buy a life-saving defibrillator to be placed outside the Birmingham Road shop.

The team are holding an Easter raffle in the store with tickets at £1 each and a trolley load of treats up for grabs for the winner.

They will be holding numerous other events in the near future, and there will be several collection buckets in the shop.

Aldi needs to raise £2,500 to buy the defibrilator.

For every minute it takes a defibrillator to deliver an electric shock to someone suffering from cadiac arrest, their survival chances decrease by up to 10 per cent.

Around 100,000 people die of cardiac arrest every year in the UK.

A spokesperson for Aldi Bromsgrove’s store team said: “We hope this is never needed however if it is, this piece of equipment can be life saving and will be an asset to our town.”

Visit the campaign’s GoFundMe page at gofund.me/bfaee292 for more information and to donate.
