Boy taken to Birmingham Children's Hospital after he was hit by car in Belbroughton

A BOY has been taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Belbroughton on Tuesday afternoon.

The 11-year-old was getting off a bus at the junction of Gorse Green Lane and Heath End Road when the collision with a white Nissan Qashqai happened.

The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, an ambulance and paramedic officer were sent to the scene.

The boy suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance on blue lights and sirens to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where he is in a stable condition.




The driver stopped and has spoken to police.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to call PC Matthew Hunt on 101.
