Bomb disposal experts called to Lickey Hills after First World War shell is found

THE MILITARY of Defence (MoD) bomb disposal squad were called to the Lickey Hills earlier today after an artillery shell was found.

The First World War device’s discovery called it the army experts.

The bomb squad carried out extensive checks on the shell and deemed it safe.




A Hagley and Rubery Police Safer Neighbourhood Team officer said: “Now it has been checked and deemed safe, it will now be used as a door stop by the owner.”
