HARPISTS from Birmingham Conservatoire are set to delight an audience at Bromsgrove’s St John’s Church when they perform at 10.30am on May 29.
The latest Coffee Concert – and the first one after the lifting of lockdown restrictions – will be a short showcase, featuring a colourful range of harp music played by four Conservatoire students.
Among the renditions will be Bach’s famous Toccata and Fugue in D minor.
To keep the event Covid-safe, rather than serving coffee and cake, people are being urged to bring their own.
A spokesperson for the event said: “It’s fantastic to be able to have our first coffee concert for over a year and it is a treat to welcome harp students from the Conservatoire.”
Admission to the hour-long concert is free, although donations are appreciated towards the upkeep of the historic church.
