A LARGE Queen’s Platinum Jubilee community event takes place from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, June 5, on Catshill Village Meadow.

It has been organised and funded by Catshill and North Marlbrook Parish Council.

It has been jointly organised by local charities including Catshill Village Meadow, Catshill Village Hall, Worcestershire County, Bromsgrove District and parish councillors and the village‘s churches.

The event will start with a family multi-church service from 11am to 11.50am, followed by the main Big Jubilee Picnic event from midday until late afternoon.

Local singer Mitzy will entertain the crowd, as well as local dance groups, a fun keep fit activity, wandering magician, bouncy castle and craft and charity stalls.

People will even be able to ‘take a selfie with the Queen herself’ and commemorative brochures will be given away at the church service, along with flags to wave.

The event will end with a Jubilee Proms Singalong.

People can top up their picnics with food and drink vendors, including Pizza Heaven, Decanter Spirit, Betty’s waffles and Jackie’s Kitchen.
