A RENOWNED Bromsgrove brewer is set to retire after building up his business over the past eight years into a multi-award winning producer.
Woodcote Manor was launched in a former dairy by Will Taylor who has now decided to pass on the beer baton to the right budding entrepreneur.
The brewery has gone from strength-to-strength since the start and in February, 2021, relocated to a new unit in Dodford so the business could grow.
Turnover has more than doubled in the last financial year and the brewery has a very loyal following and an excellent reputation for service and quality from retail and trade customers.
Woodcote Manor produces bottle, keg, cask and canned beer all in house which is distributed both locally and nationally.
The equipment has all been updated over the last 18 months and is fully operational – it even has plenty of scope for more output.
Will has developed proven successful recopies with six core beers and regular popular seasonal additions.
All core beers produced by the brewery have now won many trade awards and even another four this month alone.
Will said the business was in a very strong position and he hoped to find the right person to continue the success.
“Woodcote Brewery has huge potential to diversify, increasing sales through tap houses, outside events and in-house beers.
“It is licensed to sell to the public as well as trade and is a member of many trade associations.
“The business should be of interest to entrepreneurs, or other successful breweries looking to diversify their own supply chain.”
He added an agreed handover period and training could easily be negotiated with interested parties.
