IT MAY only be June but the Jigsaw Players Theatre Company is already preparing for this year’s pantomime (oh yes it is) and will be holding open auditions later this month.
Adults and children aged five and upwards are being sought to act, sing and dance in for The Snow Queen which will run at The Trinity Centre in Lickey from November 29 to December 1 and between December 5 and 8.
The try-outs for the all-inclusive group take place from 1.30pm to 9.30pm next Sunday, June 23, and between 5.30pm and 9.30pm on June 28.
Participants will need to read from a script and follow some basic dance steps.
People should also prepare a song of their choice which best demonstrates their vocal range.
The show is based on the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairytale
Rehearsals starting in September take place every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm for the children, from 5.45pm to 7.30pm for dancers and 7.30pm to 9pm for youth and adults. Principal characters will also be required either Tuesday or Thursday evenings.
