Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Pensioner Fair countdown - Sajid Javid's Westminster Diary

Bromsgrove Editorial 1st Jul, 2023   0

Bromsgrove MP Sajid Javid writes for the Standard.

WE ARE now only two weeks away from my fifth MP Pensioners’ Fair at Parkside Hall and Library – it’s from 10am to 12midday on Friday, July 14.

I am very excited to be hosting this community event again.

This year, we have over 40 confirmed exhibitors covering a range of sectors, including health and social care, sports and social clubs, and financial and legal experts.

I would like to pay a special thank you to my sponsors this year – Hamberley Care Homes, Phoenix Group, Care Force and Bromsgrove Golf Centre.

I hope to see some of the readers of The Bromsgrove Standard at this brilliant event.

In Westminster, I have recently been discussing issues concerning Artificial Intelligence, and how this will impact our day-to-day lives.

I was fortunate enough to speak at the London Tech Week on this issue. AI is a fantastic tool, but there must be proper guardrails.

I am pleased to see that the Prime Minister is fully focused on this matter.

Locally, I was fortunate enough to visit the Princess of Wales Community Hospital to meet with the Dementia Admiral Nurse and her team.

Tackling dementia is an issue I will continue to actively campaign on.

I also had the opportunity to meet with several of our local farmers in a productive meeting with the National Farmers Union – I will continue to support our fantastic local businesses in Bromsgrove District.

As ever, if any of my constituents need any support or assistance please contact me at [email protected]
