Bromsgrove Editorial 22nd Oct, 2023   0

BROMSGROVE’S eagerly anticipated Art from the Heart creative exhibition kicks off later in October.

The Creative Art Showcase (CAS) affair, dubbed the ‘biggest annual event in the region’s creative calendar’ will exhibit local artists, craft makers, artisans, and workshop hosts.

Taking place in the Hospitality Suite at Bromsgrove School, on October 28 and 29, the event will be across three floors with opportunities for people to have a go at making crafts and buy exhibited works.

The Art from the Heart exhibition and gallery has been carefully curaed by local artists Annmarie Hulley and Lorraine Wright.

A ‘wellness and words zone’ will offer a day long program of workshops and taster sessions for families and individuals, with wellness coaches and alternative therapies available.

CEO and Director, Carmen Capuano, of Emmeline Productions, a film and TV studio, will join the event on Saturday for a talk on the main stage.

Other activities include a Halloween trick or treat trail, Halloween inspired crafts and all types of face painting and temporary tattoos.

The event will be opened by the Rev Ray Khan supported by the Town Crier at 10.00 a.m. on October 28.

Also, on board are many community organisations including Primrose Hospice, Bromsgrove Society, Bromsgrove Arts Alive, Bromsgrove Festival, The Norton Museum and more.

CAS’ team of volunteers have been helping support events from BDHT, Avoncroft Musueum, the Alexandra Theatre and Heritage Open Days all summer.

A spokesperson for CAS said: “Creative Art Showcase would like to say a very big thank you to creatives 100% Volunteer team and all valued sponsors in 2023.

“BRMG our local and now national radio station are supporting Creative and will be broadcasting live from the Showcase on Sunday.

“We’re passionate about making art and creativity available to all our diverse communities, if you have a few hours to Volunteer or if your business can support in any way, please get in touch.”
