AN EXHIBITION showcasing the artistic talent of children and young people across Worcestershire is set to make its return in May.

Severn Arts’ Young Voices New Visions exhibit is coming to Worcester Cathedral from May 26 to June 23.

The free exhibit, funded by Worcestershire County Council will display work from 53 county schools and six community groups, all centred around the theme ‘The Sky Above Us and the World Beneath Our Feet’.

Jen Loffman, community producer for Severn Arts said: “Children and young people have such a brilliant and unique outlook, and this exhibition is all about showcasing that.”

Alongside the event, there will be an opportunity to be involved in a free drop-in creative arts workshop for all with Sarah Edwards from Spare Room Arts.

The workshop takes place in the Chapter House, Worcester Cathedral on Tuesday May, 28 between 10:30am-3pm.

Marissa Ryland, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust said: “We are really excited to be part of the exhibition.

“At Worcestershire Wildlife Trust we believe children should be curious and creative in their learning to truly be able to explore, understand and care for the natural world around them.”

It will be open throughout the cathedrals normal visiting hours (10am-5pm Monday to Saturday – last entry 4.30pm. And 12.30pm-3pm on Sundays – last entry 2.30pm).

Admission to the Young Voices New Visions Exhibition is free.
