Dr The Hon Gilbert Greenall CBE, Deputy lieutenant was joined by Coun Chris Rogers, the council’s vice chairman, Coun Matt Dormer, the cabinet member for communities and Coun

Rob Adams, the Chair of Worcestershire’s Armed Forces Covenant Partnership.

As well as the military role the Armed Forces play, servicemen and women were praised for assisting the NHS in the fight against coronavirus.

Coun Adams praised the Armed Forces for its help for the NHS in the fight against coronavirus – assisting in the national testing effort, supporting hospitals in medical and non-medical roles, helping with the roll-out of the vaccination programme and delivering thousands of vaccine doses to overseas territories.”

“Under normal circumstances many of our towns and communities would have planned public events and we very much look forward to these being rolled over to June 2022 when we hope large-scale events will be able to return.”
