OFFICERS are appealing for witnesses following a break-in at a warehouse at the Cofton Centre in Cofton Hackett over the weekend, which resulted in £100,000 of estimated damage.

The burglary at the Groveley Lane warehouse happened between midnight on Friday, January 27 and 6am on Monday, January 30.

After a window was smashed to gain entry, extensive damage was caused to the roller shutter doors, kitchen, appliances, wall and floors.

A 60-inch television was also stolen during the break-in.

Police are unsure whether the break-in was conducted by one person or multiple offenders.

Local policing Insp Richard Field said: “The damage caused during this break-in was significant, and someone likely saw or heard something suspicious, perhaps without realising it at the time.

“Tackling burglary is a priority for the force and we will always work hard to find those responsible and bring them to justice.”
