Anti-social off-road motorbikers cause severe damage to Lickey Hills Golf Course

Bromsgrove Editorial 16th Apr, 2023 Updated: 17th Apr, 2023   0

AN INCREASE in damage to the greens at Lickey Hills Golf Course caused by petrol and electric scrambler motorbikes has left greenkeepers under constant pressure to repair the grass.

Many golf courses are subject to similar types of anti-social behaviour and a lack of grass growth over the winter only complicates the repair process.

Due to the vast size of Lickey Hills Golf Course it is near impossible to block all of the entrances leaving the greens exposed to unwanted and illegal visitors.

Lickey Hills Society has assured golfers that senior greenkeeper of Lickey Hills Golf Course, Dave Collins and his team are carrying out all the necessary repairs to ensure the greens are in good condition.
