Animal sanctuary in Wythall plea for help after vandals destroy pens

Bromsgrove Editorial 28th Oct, 2022   0

A WYTHALL animal sanctuary is appealing for help after it was broken into on Tuesday night, October 25.

Fur and Feathers on Houndsfield Lane was vandalised, with staff discovering pens open and animals missing.

The vandals had even kicked in doors and ripped apart animal pens.

They have found some of the missing animals but are still searching for three cats – Klaus, Fritz and Dusty.

Dusty is grey and white, and pregnant. Klaus and Fritz are white and brown and very nervous.

Lisa Hunt, who runs the sanctuary said: “We have numerous pen doors that are damaged and won’t close.

“Clearly the cats aren’t safe. We will be camping on site but we need to make the doors safe urgently.

“This is clearly a malicious attack and I can’t believe someone would do this.”

She is appealing for anyone who can donate security cameras to prevent it happening again.

“We aren’t on mains so would need to be battery operated, please anyone who can help support us get in touch.”

Anyone who can help can contact Lisa on 07786 592405.
